Taking horse back off loan

a naïve worldview? um. ok? pm to explain this @ponynutz, as i don't want to derail OP's thread

i can't be bothered going back to find the original post i am referring to katie

plenty of others have given their opinion and provided potential solutions over the last 6 pages, as have i, suggesting trying to find elsewhere. there's generally always somewhere available and there are always alternative solutions or ways to make things work if you're bothered about your horse

We can agree to disagree op is already in a stressful situation and I doubt a stranger suggesting that shes doesn’t care about her horse is making her feel great!
you can have an opinion but I believe it can be said in a kinder way

Also if you’re going to use my name i should know yours ?

I think the OP has enough to deal with without constant badgering from people on here, who let's face it, don't know what the OP has going on in her life right now. For those who could drop everything at a moments notice, give yourself a cookie. Some people aren't in such a fortune position unfortunately.
If the horse was at risk of harm that is a different matter, but whilst the loaner does sound a bit unhinged and there has obviously been a breach of contract, the horse is not in immediate danger and I'm sure the OP will collect him as soon as they can over the next few days.
Good luck OP as others have said I would take someone with you when you go to collect him and also make the police aware in case the situation escalates. Hope you get your boy home soon.

Oh for flip's sake, your username is literally Katie&Judy!
I’ll change it then but those could literally be both my horses ? and I have a right to be not called specifically by my name? I’ve talked to many people and they @ my whole username ??‍♀️ it’s just strange to be referred to by my first name in this forum where no one does that?

No no don’t be sorry it’s all good you wouldn’t have known ☺️
I would just say that most regular posters will be able to guess that K***** is your name, not one of your horses, as you post a lot about your horses and use their names too. There aren't many posters where I could name both their horses off the top of my head, but I could with yours. If you want to maintain some anonymity, then best to avoid that and/ or remove your real name from your username. Regarding posters addressing you by name - many of us abbreviate usernames, so if you really don't want anyone calling you by name on here, best to remove it from your username altogether.

How you feel about me saying that is how OP felt when you posted your comment to her.

I will not be pming you bc I'm not inclined to get into an argument with you, I've seen your posts around the forum and often think you have good sound advice and would like to remain friendly. There was just some insensitivity. I just think there's more to this situation than it first seems and not everyone can just drop everything when horse isn't in danger; just with someone who has clearly shown themselves to not be a very nice person. I of course understand there's a chance loaner might try and hide horse etc and therefore people’s opinion but point has been made. OP IS putting plans in place.

I'll leave it there, as you say, don't want to derail.

I have now had a message apologising for the outburst and can she share him from me…..

She’s dreaming!

She won't be sharing. Unfortunately after her responses (again IF they are accurate...i have offered to share the conversation so if you do not believe me please DM me...), the trust and respect is gone.

Thank god! Being anxious, I would go and get him asap. I’d be worried she’d hide him.

I get called Amy ??‍♀️

This is a ridiculous complaint! If you had called yourself Bongo and Hoppity, then Throwawayaccount would have called you Bongo. Please don't blame other people for using a name you gave yourself. We use the first part of user names on the forum all the time, though I prefer initials if the name isn't one syllable.

Of course they @ your whole username, the @ forwarding won't work on a partial name!

Is there a reason you guys are bringing this back up after 7 hours when it’s been sorted?

For me, it's because I haven't seen the thread until now,

That's another lesson you need to learn, what you write is here forever. It's entirely possible someone will post on this thread in 10 years time, it happens often.

I need to learn that stuff you post on the internet is there forever? Yeah I dunno how old you think I am but most people my age have been aware of that since we were 5
I changed my name if people know my name yeah whatever you get a medal I just don’t want to be referred to by my name while having a discussion on the forum? I really didn’t say anything that outrageous I identified my name being the problem and I changed it..problem solved?

You complained completely unseasonably about someone using your given name, which happened also to be the first word of your user name. I don't know how old you are, you've given more than one age on this forum I think, but I do think you need to grow up.

I literally only said I didn’t want to be referred to by my first name and changed my username to correct the problem I admitted to by having it in my username
I don’t understand how that is unreasonable
You weren’t even in the discussion and are making the biggest deal out of it here yet I’m the one that needs to grow up. You don’t need to comment on every situation maybe you should mature
Also yes I have given more than one age because I aged between those discussions..it happens
