You could try putting an ad in H&H - i did that a few years ago, before i was in a position to buy. I had a massive response. I wanted a dressage horse at the time and i got offered loads and ended up with a lovely horse. I did get offered some not so good ones aswell but i just asked lots...
My feet used to get really cold in the winter. Someone on here recommended Ariat Artic Tall. They are the best boots i have ever bought. My feet stayed warm - even with thin socks on. They are great to ride in too. Waterproof and everything! They certainly get my vote!
My mare has just had one too - lot of it about at the moment for some reason.
My farrier opened it up and i hot poulticed it for 4/5 days - then i dry poulticed it for a few more days to dry it up a bit.
I would not be happy leaving it open. You are right - dirt could just go straight back up...
I would love to pay a groom - but - no chance. I have to manage on my own. I was at show at the weekend and the judge said -"you can signal for your grooms to come in now" Ha - i just tried not to giggle... I am always on my own. I normaly end up just wiping her off with my glove!! he he. We...
Cool - thanks for the advice. We do lots of rc trianing and we like grids so she is a good girl with poles. I think the only thing that may let her down is someone else riding her. My instructor does - every now and then. But TBH they will be very good riders so she should be fine. She just fell...
Anyone else going?? I am pooping myself. I was feeling really brave when i entered but no think i am well in over my head.
I hope i don't end up looking like an idiot!!
I'm doing the Riding Club Show Horse. Getting is a right tizz already about it!!
I was jump judge on the double brush. So prob can't really help. It all seemed to be riding really well. The ground was really good as well. Good luck tomorrow
I agree - although it has rained a lot. We have got off quite lightly here. And they really look after their ground there too.
I am jump judging tomorrow afternoon. I've got a blue freelander and a stupid looking boxer so give me a wave!
Good luck!
I think everyone has different opinions. I use a brilliant McTimoney lady. I really like her as she looks at the skeltal side as well as being ble to give her a really good massage! I watched a Reiki lady once work on my friends horse and really didn't see the point, but thats just my opinion!
I...
I did it last year. It is a nice course but as XXcharXX says it is hilly.
It is up to height to with combinations - i do remember the big concrete tube thing that had big sheep painted on it!!
It also had a bright blue skinny.
Overall nice course but i would say it was big and some bits were...
Now this might sound strange...
I noticed last night that my horses left hind leg just didn't look quiet right... He foot is kind of pointing outwards slightly. I looked at her hoof and her shoe doesn't look like it has twisted but one side looks wider than the other - if you know what i mean...
