    Frightened of clippers

If you have an I phone there is a free clipper app - makes the noise of clippers and the phone vibrates so you can introduce gradually while grooming etc, really handy for a gentle introduction..

What did you do "wrong" when buying?

I was looking for a sane and sensible older horse I could just get on and enjoy... came home with yearling Sec D!! :)

    Bucas rugs...help!

I love Bucas rugs, very well made, very smart etc, however a terrible fit on my Welsh D who isnt particularly chunky but 15.2.. So disappointed when I had to give in and sell them on - the wither area just dug into his neck even after I had padded it. Another small Welsh D on the yard has just...

    WOW Saddles and youngster

I love mine and I would never have anything else! My Welsh D is now 6 and has had the same Wow saddle since being backed at 4. He has changed shape massively in this time (as they do), has had a couple of gullet changes and the original panels which where tab and stitch line, have had the...

    Valley animal supply

Ditto, have just used them for the first time, money was taken straight away but then I realised they have a disclaimer that says goods can take up to 10 days to arrive (must be buying to order not selling from stock). So requested to cancel the order and have a refund, no response, received...

    Equestrian. com

I just had a voucher code through for them actually - valid for 48 hours and you have to spend £100+, but if it is any use to you.. VIPMAR10 (£10 off the order).

Non slip Reins.. what do you use?

Dever Arab Race Reins, tiny dot pimples and the rubber is not too thick and bulky - not bright orange like usual race reins either..

Entering a lower class to 'warm up'?

Hiya There is no issue with this at all. If you don't get out much and with the expense and time involved it is often more beneficial to enter two classes.. If you were thinking you really were 'out' of the former class you could always enter HC.. Your reasons are good ones too - you want...

Have you ever added up what your horse costs you in a year? :-o

I have always pushed it to the back of my mind.... However I got an Iphone at Christmas and went a bit 'app' crazy, one of those was Horse Budget and I have put every thing on, first step was to password protect (would like to keep my husband), next step is to delete it as I would like to keep...

Recommend me some Close Contact Stirrup Leathers

Equipe Mono Leathers are really good - they have a non stretch nylon core but they fasten with buckles not T Bars which are much safer and more secure. They only come in one length though so if you are not on the tall side may need more holes punching in.. For light use the T Bars are ok but I...

If you were being interviewed by your horse, what would you say?

Funny and very accurate :) Have you got a Welsh?? ;)

    Waterproof breeches / over trousers

Ornello's all the way for me, fit beautifully, very waterproof, breathable and light - really comfortable and hardly know I have got them on.. Not too long either, most waterproof trousers drowned me in length... :)

    Strangles vaccination

Hiya We have recently had a strangles outbreak in the area so I have looked into vaccinating against it. Having spoken to a vet at length I did eventually decide against it.. The vaccination is given into a mucous membrane inside the lip and then again a month later, after that it has to be...
