we replaced our horsebox floor with 1" buffalo board- its very very strong :) much stronger than marine ply..also more expensive, but well worth it. I prefer it to aluminium as i have seen some nasty bimetallic corrosion. James Latham sell it as Phenol Board- we collected ours from the depot...

Many hunts have amateur whips who would supply their own as they are not salaried staff. Myself and other secretaries i know have all bought our own as well.

My OH is a nanny for our hunt and she thoroughly enjoys it :) especially when you start off with someone all anxious and by the end of the season they are giving leads to the adults :D Perhaps if OP gives us an idea of which hunt, someone here might be able to give more specific advice as to...

We were on the grass gallops when my cob started spooking at something behind. I looked over my shoulder and a chinese lantern was rolling up the slope towards us like something out of The Prisoner tv show :eek: Thankfully the wind blew it further out so it didnt come too close.

I have 6 lightweights and they all leak :( but the 300, 300 and heavy stormbusters are fantastic. The stormbuster is a much better fit than the winterbuster so IMO unless you must have a detachable neck then i would avoid the winterbuster.

My OH- Darkly Dreaming Dex and IHateWork stood in for me at the Opening Meet. It was a glorious day with a big field :) Lots of poppies on display aswell as poppy sellers collecting money. It was so lovely to see all our friends together again as well as some new faces to welcome :) A smashing...
