    Granulosa-theca cell tumors

We had a mare had one removed last year. It was the size of a football but the fab vets at Rossdales removed it via standing sedation, she was back in work after 3 months and only now has a slight indentation in her side where the ovary was removed. The whole op cost around £2500. They can...

Dutch V's American Gag? How different are these two bits?

If your dads horse has a sensitive mouth but is strong with it try this bit, http://www.derbyhouse.co.uk/prodshow.asp?id=4448&cat=424&scats=384,445, fantastic bits but only for riders with very soft hands, the action of the bit works on the noes, poll and chin rather than on the mouth...

Just leave well alone, the more you fiddle with cracks and sores the more aggravated they get, you are best just to let nature take its course in this case

    Rugs to use on horsewalker

Horsewalker rugs are excellant, i thought they were a waste of money so just put my horses on with normal stable rugs on, bad move, ended up with horrible rug rubs. I brought Rambo Waterproof horsewalker rugs, this way if it rains whilst on there they dont get cold & wet.

I had the same problem with my WB X TB, in the end after trying many different feeds he did superb on Allen & Page Calm & Condition fed with Alfa A. He was very prone to be 'hot' but this combination of feed never made him. Think it costs around £10 ish a bag (20kg), also add ordinary...
