What do you use for tack cleaning?

I find that the Robinsons glycerine tack cleaning spray does a really good job on tack for everyday.

    Can you help?

A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Craig Nicolai and his beloved 4* eventer, Spida, aka Just Ironic. I haven't seen him recently because our paths went seperate ways but I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with them for a few months and I just want to clarify that I'm...

    Loans!

Can you not get a new saddle for the pony? If you buy second hand then you can sell it on again for the same value if you buy wisely and look after it well.

    Premier equine rugs not waterproof

I've got a premier equine trio that must be going in to it's almost 7th winter now and is still going strong, such a shame to hear that they maybe going down hill, I was just thinking today how good that rug was. Has anyone tried Derby House's imitation PE ones? I was very tempted to try one...

    Ulcers, moody mare, or...?

My one with suspected ulcers, droppped pretty much all the above symptoms when I put him on to Equine America's U gaurd (he is also a chronic windsucker and even stopped doing that!!) - it's about £25 a bottle that lasts for about two months I think so possibly worth giving a go with your mare?

Done to death- sorry! Best wood pellets

I use straw pellets from these people, they don't need soaking before putting in to a bed as they break down in it, the bed compacts down a lot less and so doesn't become solid as wood pellets can and they decompose a lot better than the wood pellets so you have no problems having the muck heap...

    Feeling demotivated after lesson

What about having a couple of extra lessons so that it's not a couple of weeks before the next lesson? Sometimes it can be hard to remember the lesson over time and so you end up not achieving what you're aiming for even though you're really trying, especially if i's a new concept/ instructor.

    Sarcoids

I always said that I wouldn't have a horse with sarcoids however I found the perfect horse - but he had a sarcoid. So far it's not caused me a moments grief and was a brilliant decision. I would expect it to be reflected in the price though...

Feeding a joint supplement as a preventative?

I have my horses on cortaflex as a preventative, they're eventing at Novice level so I feel anything I can do to help keep them going and coping is worth it. It may do absolutely nothing but on the chance that it may help them I'd rather keep them on it.

Best actually waterproof no fill turnout?

I tend to find that even the 1600d no fills aren't really downpour proof and the horses always end up a bit damp under them, I wonder if it's something to do with needing a bit of filling between the damp outside of the rug and the horse. Having said that I have found weatherbeetas on the whole...

Pictures: Is this rug too big?

I would agree that it looks a bit long but definitely useable:)

    Waterproof fly rugs?

They are very breathable :) hence not suitable for downpours.
